What is Microdermabrasion?

This non-invasive treatment effectively exfoliate and rejuvenate facial skin without damaging the integrity of your skin Barrier. After a series of treatments, your complexion can appear smoother, brighter, and more even in color. The process is most effective when combined with chemical peels and a professional skin care regime.

The microdermabrasion that an esthetician or dermatologist performs differs from the one that you can do at home with a kit. our treatment goes a bit deeper into the skin. Still, the procedure is safe for all skin colors. Microdermabrasion Tackles:

  • Dull complexion

  • Uneven skin tone or texture

  • Age spots

  • Dark spots that can appear when acne starts to clear

  • Melasma

microdermabrasion is also used to improve the results gained from using anti-aging products and skin-bleaching products. Microdermabrasion allows these products to penetrate the skin more easily.


APPOINTMENT PREP

  • You will be asked to discontinue use of Retin A, Retinols, Vitamin A creams and other topic medications for 3-5 days before your microdermabrasion treatment.

  • It is required that you wear a sunscreen daily.

AFTERCARE

  • No sunscreen OR makeup for 12 hours following treatment· 

  • Wash the area a few hours after treatment or before bed time. Use gentle cleanser and Gently massage the face with tepid water (a shower can provide an easier ability to massage the face while washing at the same time), and remove all serum and dried blood. 

  • 12-24 hours post-treatment mineral makeup can be applied, but continue to use a gentle cleanser, hyaluronic acid serum, and physical sunblock with an SPF of 25 or higher.

  • If a more aggressive treatment was performed you may also be instructed to use a more occlusive balm such as Aquaphor. 

  • After 24 hours following treatment client can return to regular skin care regimen.

  • Avoid alcohol-based toners for 3-4 days as well as excessive sun exposure for 10 days.
